Quatuor Modigliani Concert

The acclaimed French Modigliani Quartet will return to China after a 15-year hiatus to open this year's music season. The four members will perform on four Italian master violins, presenting milestone works that define the unique styles of three great composers: Beethoven, Brahms, and Ravel.

Meanwhile, Ravel's sole string quartet, while containing elements of homage, proves his independent stature in French music through its exquisite colors and structure.

The Modigliani Quartet is hailed by the Süddeutsche Zeitung as "one of the world's top string quartets." As a French ensemble, they possess a natural cultural authority in shaping the colors of Ravel's work.
